Kelly takes over the head coaching position this fall after having been an assistant for the last two seasons. She is an alumnus of Baptist Bible College and competed for the Lady Defenders in 2005 when women's tennis made its return to BBC.

Kelly and her husband Josh look to focus on having their team build on the success of previous seasons by playing competitively and striving to be a team that consistently plays with the strength and ability they are capable of.
As part of the larger picture, Kelly and Josh have desired to have their players discover how tennis can relate to the wider context of their lives and be used in service to God.

Kelly's favorite verse is: "Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes." (NIV Psalm 37:3-7)
