Defenders Fall 7-0 to Cougars

Michael Bernecker looks to secure a ball in the Misericordia backfield Monday

Clarks Summit, PA - The Defenders fell to Misericordia University 7-0 in men's soccer Monday.

The loss drops Baptist Bible to 2-6 on the season.

The Cougars roared out to an early 2-0 lead after Bryan Kulbacki (Milton, PA) and Chris Hummel (Andreas, PA) put back to back headers into the goal.
The first would prove to be enough as seven different players scored throughout for Misericordia.

Andrew Cartledge (Spring City, PA) and Andrew Loyd (Dillsburg, PA) went the distance in goal for their teams. BBC's Cartledge gathered six saves and Loyd stopped two for the cougars.

The Defenders will follow with a home game Thursday against Wilkes University for their next match-up.

Misericordia improves to 6-2 on the season and host Scranton University Wednesday.
