Clarks Summit, PA – Baptist Bible College dropped a doubleheader against Lancaster Bible College by the score of 6-9 and 1-3 Tuesday afternoon.

In the first game, the Chargers grabbed two runs in the top of the first after T.J. Horn (Mechanicsburg, PA) got on with an infield single and Dan Jacques (Norristown, PA) homered to straight away center.

Down 3-0 in the fourth, the Defenders rallied, scoring six runs on five hits and batting around. The big hit of the inning came from the bat of Matt Owlett (Annville, PA) a double that scored Zach Dawson (Batavia, NY) from second and kept the rally going. The Defenders led 6-3.

Lancaster chipped in a run in the fifth but waited until their final at bat in the seventh to score five including two on a two out double by Aaron Greenhalgh (Schenectady, NY) that capped the rally. The Defenders could not respond in the bottom.

Zach Dawson led the Defenders in hitting with a 2 for 3 first game performance. Dan Jacques had two hits for the Chargers and tallied three RBI.

A turn around from the early game, the second game went into extra innings with a 1-1 tie.
