Wilkes Barre, PA- With both teams shooting over 45 percent from the field a high scoring match resulted with the Wilkes University Colonels on top of the Defenders in the end by a score of 90-72.
The lead was held by Wilkes for the all but a few seconds first half. The Defenders would tie the game and keep it close until the five minute mark when the Colonels took a ten point lead. That lead would shrink to only 7 at the break with Wilkes holding a 45-38 advantage over Baptist Bible.
Baptist Bible would test the Colonels by cutting the deficit to a single point when Nathan Greve hit a three point shot with four minutes into the second period. But Wilkes was too much for the Defenders as they continued to extend the lead and never look back taking the 18 point victory.
