Dig Pink: Join the Fight Against Breast Cancer October 31

There is an exciting event happening on our BBC campus October 31! Our women's volleyball team is participating in a Breast Cancer awareness program called Dig Pink. October 31 at 3:00 pm our lady defenders will be taking on the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University. Both teams will be wearing pink as well as all our staff. There will be giveaways and a serving contest. Also, pink items including temporary tattoos will be available for purchase. All proceeds will go towards finding a cure for Breast Cancer as well as providing medical and emotional support for those fighting breast cancer.

We are encouraging everyone that comes out to make a statement by wearing as much pink as possible! A prize will even be given to the pinkest fan! There will be a special program between the 2nd and 3rd match honoring all cancer survivors! Invite your friends, family, neighbors, and join us in the fight against Breast Cancer!

Our goal is to raise $1,000 for Dig Pink and Breast Cancer research. If you would like to make a donation you can visit our website at www.bbcdefenders.com and click on the Dig Pink logo. Donation boxes will also be available at all home games. The volleyball team is looking for donors for their serve-a-thon. Each girl has committed to making 100 serves during practice on October 26. A donation can be made per serve or for a total amount. Let Amy Heitner (570.585.9322 or aheitner@bbc.edu) know if you would like to be contacted by a volleyball player.

So come on out and support our women's volleyball team and join in the fight against breast cancer. We hope to see you there on October 31!
