Langhorne, PA- In their first CSAC match of the season Baptist Bible College tied Philadelphia Biblical University 3 to 3. Most of the scoring was done early in the game and then late in the game with the middle going scoreless. Each team was able to match each other for goals, saves, and shots. The draw puts the Defenders at 3-7-1 on the season.
Scoring first was Baptist Bible, as Joseph Peterson received a pass from Alan Elliot and put it in the back on the net just seven minutes into the game. Just over a minute late the Crimson Eagles responded as Phil Haas took a Mike Zimmerman pass and put it in the goal. Then Alan Elliot got into the scoring action by scoring a goal off an Ethan Patrick pass. Again Philadelphia Biblical countered with a goal on a penalty kick by Justin Hays. The first half came to an end tied 2 to 2.
There was no scoring action in the second half until the seventy-sixth minute. The Crimson Eagles took their first lead of the game when Jeremy Dunham scored an unassisted goal. The last goal of the game came when the Defenders tied it up on a penalty kick by Josh Jackson. Neither team would give up as the game went into the first overtime and then the second before ending in a 3 to 3 draw.
Tony Morrison of Baptist Bible and Andy Ecker of Philadelphia Biblical each posted 5 saves on the day.
