Hackettstown, NJ - Baptist Bible fell to Centenary College 82-78 Monday in women's basketball. It was the Lady Defenders second loss of the season to the Cyclones.
After leading by as many as 10 in the first half, BBC fell back down by as many as 13 in the second before closing to within one late. They were unable to regain the lead however before the horn.
Naomi Sweeney (Matamoras, PA) finished with a 14 point, 17 rebound double-double and Alysha Paladino (Whitinsville, PA) led all scorers with 20 points. Marlie Kneifel (Kouts, IN) added 16 points on the evening.
Marissa DiStasio also had a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds for Centenary. Jen Vasta scored 18 points and teammates Leah Murphy and Kirsten Camuso both finished with 17 points in the win.
With the loss, Baptist Bible falls to 7-14 on the season and 4-9 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference play. They will travel to Philadelphia Biblical University Saturday for their next game.
