Coach John Jackson returned to his alma mater in 2007 to join the BBC faculty as a Missions professor. He enjoys wide variety of sports and participated at the collegiate level in soccer, wrestling, baseball and ice hockey. As an athlete he was a captain of three sports and received recognition in leadership and Christian testimony. Previous to joining BBC Coach Jackson began the women's soccer program at Faith Baptist Bible College and was named NCCAA Regional Coach of the Year in 2005. He now enjoys coaching the men's soccer team at BBC. His main concern is that His players grow spiritually and develop a purposeful Christian walk. He has a heart for ministry and enjoys challenging students to develop their ministry careers.
Jackson lives in Clarks Summit, PA with his wife Penny. He has four children Jason (married), Monica (married), Jamie Lynn and Joshua. In his free time he enjoys his family and outdoor activities such as fishing, camping and working around the house.
Coach Jackson's favorite verses are: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (NKJV Matt 28:19,20) and "but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen." (NKJV 2 Peter 3:18). |

Do you have any collegiate sports experience?
I rowed on the West Virginia University crew team. I also played intramural soccer and football. What is your favorite part about coaching?
